TIM MILLER

PRESIDENT

“El Capitan” is the leader of the surf team and brings a ton of experience to Woodie’s. As the long-time Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at TBC Corporation, Tim led the company through nearly every aspect of corporate growth including spearheading mergers and acquisitions.

He has also managed teams who were responsible for growing the company from less than $1 billion in revenues to almost $5 billion. In addition to driving growth, he oversaw the transformation and execution of many strategic functions including: Real Estate Construction and Development, IT, Accounting, Customer Analytics, Supply Chain, Fleet and E-commerce. 

Tim received his undergraduate degree from Washington State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Memphis.

BARBARA ALFARO

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Barbara is the newest surfer on the team, riding the waves to Tampa from Palm City, Florida. She has over 20 years of accounting and managerial experience of varying degrees in small and large organizations including a Fortune 500 company and turn-around businesses.

She has an EPIC track record in a myriad of accounting and operational positions throughout her career.  Additionally, her training and certifications, including a Master’s in Accounting and a Florida Certified Public Accountant license, keep her well versed in all financial and operational aspects of varying sectors from energy to retail.

We are stoked that Barbara has decided to surf with us and look forward to learning some bodacious stuff from her!

RAY UNDERWOOD

VP of DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS

This surfer made his away across the sunshine state from Palm Beach Gardens, where he was the Vice President of Real Estate & Development for TBC Corporation. He brings more than 15 years of experience in serving customers with the best automotive maintenance and repair services available.

Ray was active in his community, serving on the board of the Juno Beach Police Foundation and also supporting other charities such as Habitat for Humanity, Urban Youth Impact, Swing for Scholarships and the PGA Corridor Association.

We are stoked to have Ray on the team to help us expand our footprint and serve more members of the Tampa Bay Community. He, his wife Jackie, and his two sons are happy to be catching some wave’s at Woodie’s!

GLENN STYGAR

VP of ACQUISITIONS

AKA “The Wave Hunter” Glen’s totally tubular job is to scope out new locations that are perfect for a Woodie’s Wash Shack addition.

Glen has been in the real estate industry for over 25 years, he has developed and built new developments consisting of single-family and Multi-Family homes. He is an expert in the Southeast real estate market, with in-depth local market knowledge and long cultivated relationships.

Mr. Stygar’ s areas of expertise include residential and commercial developments, site selection, entitlements, feasibility and due diligence , market analysis, builder selection, contract negotiation, financing, value engineering and project oversight. He is particularly adept at acquiring approvals, permits and consents from federal, state and local governing and regulatory bodies.

JENNY BEADLE

MARKETING DIRECTOR

AKA “surfette”, Jenny came to Woodie’s after a 15 year career with the YMCA in Louisville, Nashville, and Tampa. She brings considerable experience in customer service, membership programs and marketing to our already gnarly team. Upon her departure from the Tampa Metro YMCA, the organization was serving nearly 90,000 members!

Jenny is a conservationist and an animal lover, supporting various organizations such as the Humane Society and the Ocean Conservancy. She also still supports the YMCA through charitable giving to their annual campaign. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and a Master’s in Physiology & Nutrition, so we never know what we’re gonna get from her!

We are amped about Jenny and the energy she brings to the team. Woodie’s will offer an atmosphere and an experience like none other!

BRANDON GARY

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Brandon surfer behind the scenes, making sure our members and customers receive WOW customer experiences with our laid-back Woodie’s vibe. 

Before Woodie’s, he was a Location Manager for Rich’s Car Wash on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and is the former President of his family business, Cable Marketing and Installation, Inc. During his 10 years of experience as President, Brandon was responsible for full operations as he led a team of 125 employees, while coordinating new bids, managing contracts, assisting with human resource administration, and establishing satellite office locations. 

Brandon caught a wave to Tampa from Biloxi, Mississippi along with his wife, Cadi and three children, Anniston, Weston, and Stella. In his spare time, Brandon digs spending time with his family and friends, boating, and cheering on the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers.

MOSES POMALES

REGIONAL MANAGING PARTNER

As the Woodie’s family continues to grow, we will need more rockstars like Moses in the field. He takes the time to chat with customers, answer questions and educate members about all the benefits of their membership. He is responsible for opening all our new locations in true WOW fashion!

Moses builds a true community around each location that he overseas. He spends time in the community, getting to know his neighbors and learning how we can be better neighbors, too! You know the saying – it takes a village!

Before surfing into Woodie’s, Moses was a regional manager for Bay Breeze Car Wash, now known as Clean Machine car wash. He brings more than 15 years of experience to the Woodie’s team and we are STOKED to have him on board!

MATT BRUGGEMAN

DIRECTOR of DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

Matt is a totally tubular guy who joined us from Wellington, Florida where he served as the Director of Construction & Design for TBC Corporation. He has been in property, project and construction management for over 14 years and is excited to continue that journey at Woodie’s.

He is an avid golfer, athlete and soccer coach. He is also an active parishioner at his church.

Woodie’s is pumped to have Matt on the team to oversee the construction elements of our rapid expansion plan and uniquely designed facilities. He is a perfect fit for our culture and our vision.

JAKE DEGEARE

CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT ANALYST

Jake’s got some gnarly surfing skills in analytics, corporate development and creative design. He’s been chillin’ with the Woodie’s team since January 2020 and keeps making waves!

When he was a junior surfer, he worked with several different real estate firms during his summers off from school. They include Bellaire Development, Barger Real Estate and WP Capital Partners, to name a few. He obtained his real estate license at the age of 19 and never looked back!

Jake is also extremely dedicated to giving back to the community that has helped him grow. His volunteer efforts over the years have included Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent DePaul, Soles for Souls and many more. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Claire and his new puppy, Asher. We can’t wait to see Jake drop-in and ride in the Pipeline!

KAI JOHNSTON

ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Kai likes to surf in the shade, but that doesn’t mean she can’t catch a killer wave! She brings the calm before and after an epic wave crashes on the beach.

She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BSBA in Finance. She’s been riding the Woodie’s Wave since May of 2020. Prior to Woodie’s, she worked as a bookkeeper for an ecommerce company.

When she’s not chillin’ at Woodie’s, Kai spends her time hiking and jogging. She’s an outdoor enthusiast and a runner, with her trusty four-legged companion, Valkyrie.
