Woodie's Wash Shack partners with Keep Pinellas Beautiful for the 2nd Annual Gandy Beach Cleanup!
On Friday, August 21, the Woodie’s Wash Shack team once again joined forces with Keep Pinellas Beautiful for our second annual beach cleanup at Gandy Beach in St. Petersburg.
Giving back to the communities we serve has always been important to Woodie’s, and this event gave our team another opportunity to step outside of the Wash Shack, roll up our sleeves, and make a tangible difference in our own backyard. This marked the second consecutive year Woodie’s has partnered with Keep Pinellas Beautiful for a cleanup at Gandy Beach.
What began as an opportunity to bring our team together around a shared cause is quickly becoming a tradition we’re proud to continue.
Events like this are also an important reminder that community impact doesn’t always require a complicated initiative. Sometimes, it simply requires people willing to show up, put in the work, and leave a place better than they found it.
More Than 600 Pounds Removed From the Shoreline
Throughout the morning, Woodie’s team members and volunteers worked together to collect trash and debris from the Gandy Beach shoreline.
By the end of the cleanup, the group had removed more than 600 pounds of trash and debris from the area.
While a single cleanup is only one part of protecting our local environment, removing hundreds of pounds of waste from the shoreline can make an immediate difference for the people, wildlife, and ecosystems that depend on these coastal areas.
We want to extend a huge thank you to every Woodie’s team member and volunteer who came out and contributed their time and energy to this year’s cleanup.
We’re also grateful to Keep Pinellas Beautiful for their continued partnership and for the work they do throughout Pinellas County to protect, preserve, and improve our local environment.
Proud to Be Part of the Tampa Bay Community
Woodie’s Wash Shack was built around more than washing cars. We believe being part of a community means taking an active role in making it stronger.
Whether we’re supporting local organizations, participating in community events, or spending a morning cleaning one of our local beaches, our goal is to continue finding meaningful ways to give back to the neighborhoods that have supported Woodie’s throughout our growth.
More than 600 pounds of debris removed is something we’re proud of—but we’re even more proud of the people who made it happen.
Thank you to everyone who helped make our second annual Gandy Beach Cleanup a success. We look forward to continuing the tradition and making an even greater impact in the years ahead.
Their organization provides the resources and leadership that make events like this possible, and we’re proud to support their mission.
